Hard fought game with Kaysville Jr.

Awesome halftime performance by FFJH cheer!

Arts appreciate Month at FFJH and we would like to recognize:
Mrs. Groneman is in her 6th year of teaching, and loves being able to spread the joy of music to others! She graduated from Utah State University (go Aggies!) where she served as a Drum Major and Pep Band Director during her time there. She loved performing in and leading various wind ensembles, woodwind quintets, etc. Her efforts in music has allowed her to travel to various locations all over the country, including Disneyland 😉
When she isn't making music with her classes you can find her nerding out with a good book, playing video games, and building lego sets. She loves to cross stitch, watch a good movie, or dominate at board games with her family.
If you stop by Mrs. Groneman's office, you'll see she is a Guinness World Record holder. You'll have to guess what the award is for though!

Please join us for "Stories from Childhood" from our Rhapsody group. Shows will be held in the Choir room:
Nov 14th & 15th at 7:00 pm
Nov 16th at 4:00 & 7:00 pm.
Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for FFJH students and kids under 12. Tickets may be purchased in the main office.

Fairfield Junior High Arts Month would like to recognize Mrs. Clark (Choir)
Mrs. Clark is the choir teacher at Fairfield Jr. High. This is her 6th year at FFJH and her 16th year of teaching. Mrs. Clark graduated from Utah State University (Go Aggies!). She has 3 awesome kids and 1 awesome husband (who just happens to be the best accompanist).
Mrs. Clark loves to sing, act, bake, and read. She also enjoys working with power tools. Her favorite vacation is any trip involving the ocean, a beach, lots of sunshine and good food.
Mrs. Clark believes that almost everything in life can be made better with music- especially singing.

Thank you to all of the parents who attended "Pastries with Parents" this morning. We loved having so many parents/guardians here enjoying this event with their children. We appreciate the PTA for putting on this fun event.

Fairfield Junior High Arts Month would like to recognize Mr. Nolan (Everything Art)
I have been in education for over 27 years. With 26 of those years being at Fairfield Junior High. where I have taught Art and Photography. As well as coaching Track and Field.
I love to travel the world to experience different cultures and cuisines. Some of my favorite cities that I have visited have been London, Paris, Berlin, Athens, and Rome. But some of the most beautiful places I have visited have been the National Parks right here in Utah.
I like to stay busy. When I am not working or traveling you will find me attending music concerts, visiting museums, enjoying the outdoors while hiking with my dog, or drawing and painting in my studio.
One fun fact is that I have a closet full of t-shirts for every concert I attend and for every new place I visit.

Another great win for FFJH! Let's go basketball!

She later received her master's degree in Arts Curriculum Design from Lesley University, in Boston.

Fairfield Junior High Arts Month would like to recognize Mr. Farr (Orchestra)
Mr. Farr is excited to be the new orchestra teacher at Fairfield Junior High (as well as North Layton Junior High and several local elementaries)! Although this is his first experience teaching in the public schools, Mr. Farr has been a music teacher for many years - he is an active Suzuki cello teacher, the director of Counterpoint School of Music (a community music school in Bountiful), and he has led workshops and directed ensembles in Utah and North Carolina. Mr. Farr also performs as a cellist in the Bountiful Philharmonic and serves on its Board of Directors.
Mr. Farr loves spending time with his family , hiking, paddleboarding, playing music, and doing anything in or near the water. He loves the ocean (his favorite place on earth is Atlantic Beach, NC), Utah Utes football, hockey (Go Jets!), and the Grateful Dead. He's also pretty confident that he can beat anyone in this school in a game of air hockey.
