America is turning 250 — and our students have something to say.

Davis School District is hosting Voices of a Nation: Student Perspectives on 250 Years of America, a districtwide speaking event aligned with America 250 Utah.

Students from every school and grade level are invited to apply to deliver an original speech about America’s past, present or future.

Selected students will receive mentorship and take the stage on May 4, 2026, at the Davis Instructional Services Center in Layton. The event will be professionally produced and live streamed for the community.

You don’t have to be famous to have something worth saying.

Take the mic. Share your idea. Be part of the story.

Applications due March 18.

As we continue CTE month, we want to spotlight Mr. Andrew Messer. Mr. Messer has been teaching for 3 years, all of them here at Fairfield. In addition to teaching in our CTE Department, Mr. Messer has helped coach volleyball and basketball at Fairfield. Outside of school, he enjoys basketball, theatre, video games, and watching movies. Mr. Messer loves the energy that students bring, because it makes teaching fun and interesting. This year, he is most excited to see the progression of students as they learn how to do things they've never done before. We are so happy that Mr. Messer is part of our team at Fairfield.

As we celebrate CTE Month, we want to highlight some of our CTE teachers at Fairfield. Mr. Victor Morales has been teaching for six years, five of them at Fairfield Junior High School. When not teaching, he enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking, and playing soccer. One thing he loves about teaching is watching students grow--both socially and academically--and learning new things every day. He also supports our award-winning robotics team. We are very fortunate to have Mr. Morales as part of our Fairfield family!
